FAQ's
What is the Goslyn™?
The Goslyn™ is an immiscible liquid separator that significantly reduces the level of Fat, Oil, and Grease (FOG) in waste water effluent. Typical FOG discharge is reduced from 18,500 ppm to 62 ppm!! Through the use of a coarse food strainer, it also prevents solids from entering the drain system.
The Goslyn™ is a complete replacement solution for grease traps, grease interceptors, and bacterial and solvent systems. We believe it is THE BEST FOG REMOVAL SOLUTION for the food service industry.
How is the Goslyn™ better than traditional FOG solutions?
- Goslyn™ rivals grease traps and grease interceptors by being easier to install, easier to clean, cheaper to maintain, and more effective at removing fats, oils, and grease (FOG).
- Goslyn™ is less expensive and easier to maintain than mechanical systems, because it has no moving parts and operates continuously rather than at timed intervals.
- Goslyn™ requires less guesswork than bacterial cultures, because it requires no monitoring of pH and bacterial levels.
- Goslyn™ is more environmentally safe than heavy solvents, which can result in blockages further down the line and may be harmful to sewerage plant employees.
How does Goslyn™ work?
The Goslyn™ operates under a combination of hydro static pressure and heat and does not require any moving parts. Its patented valve design continuously and permanently removes fats, oils, and grease (FOG) from waste effluent. Solid waste is trapped in a strainer , oils and grease are captured in an oil cassette. Cleaning, even for larger units, takes only minutes. And captured oil is 100% ready for recycling.
How pure is the oil Goslyn™ filters?
Filtered oil is 99.6% pure. Thats more than 4% purer than the industry standard (95.0%)!
Is it easy to install Goslyn™?
Goslyn™ units are designed to be versatile for installation. Units can be fitted to sinks, washer units, ovens, drains, and other equipment. They are also designed to handle anywhere from 10 gpm (gallons per minute) to over 100 gpm. Contact us to find out more about assesment, pricing, and installation.
